Welding
I have seen many people in garry's mod that don't know how to weld.
They would randomly click on 2 props which will weld them more than 1 time.
A note, for the newbies : Welding lags, so only weld the things that are moving.
Ok! let's start. To weld, take out your toolgun, press q and select "weld" in the tools section. Ok now, click on one prop, then click on the other. Simple, eh?
Axis
Axis, you don't know what it is? No no, it's not the Axis from Medal of Honor.
Axis, my friend is the tool that allows 2 props to "move" in a circular motion.
It has some options, i will explain most of them.
Force Limit : How much force should be applied for the axis to break.
Friction : The higher the friction is, the faster the prop will stop after it has started spinning.
No collide: I urge you to tick this.
K lets start
Take out your toolgun, press q, select "Axis". Click on one prop then click on another. The point at which the 2 props will spin is where you clicked on, when applying the axis. Easy.
If you want, you can mess around with the options.
Thrusters
Thrusters. They are useful, but sometimes they can be a nuicance.
Ill explain some options here.
Force/Thrust : Ammount of thrust to be applied to the truser, the higher the faster.
Max Thrust/Force: Maximum ammount of thrust that can be applied.
Toggle, Toggles it so you dont have to hold the key
How to set up keys : Self explanitory.
No collide
No Collide basically allows 2 props to go into each other hence the term "Collide" and "No" . If you didn't/don't know this, i will try to make it simple.
Lets take 2 cars for example, imagine them hitting each other, this is called a "collision", you can basically say they "collided". Get the idea? Now if they were "NO collided" they would go through each other.
Easy.
Ok, get the toolgun, open the q menu, go to "nocollide", select it. Click on one prop then on another. There!
Motor
Motor is like the "Axis" tool, explained earlier.
It allows props to move in a circular motion too,
but it moves the prop with the push of a button, instead of using thrusters or whatnot.
Some options :
Torque limit: The speed required for the motor to break and send the props flying.
Torque: How fast the motor shall turn.
Toggle: Toggles it for you, if you don't want to hold the key for the motor to move.
That's all for now, hope it helped
